HNM Web Gallery Creator - Documentation
Special - Disabling the right mouse button
This feature adds a small JavaScript code to your pages that disables the right mouse button.
Usually, this is used to avoid that visitors steal your images and view the HTML code. However, this only works when JavaScript is turned on and does not work with all browsers (it does works though with the Internet Explorer, the most popular browser). Please note, it is no problem for an experienced users to penetrate this barrier.
Important: It only makes sense when you use "Image as HTML". If you link directly to the images, the user can save them when viewing them.
HNM-Freeware does not recommend using this option when it's not important for you, because it reduces the usability, e.g. the right mouse button is also used in many browsers to open a menu with browsing options, among them the option to view the link in a different window of the browser.
Message
This message will be displayed when the right mouse button is pressed. Example: "Hey, you are trying to steal my images!"
